Background
A leading European packaging company sought to enhance its understanding of how retailers use prefilled PoS displays. Their had limited in-house knowledge of the way these displays were used in key markets.
Our client was particularly interested in the operational needs and challenges faced by retailers, as well as the procurement processes and future trends. This project aimed to identify differences across various markets and retailer types, enabling the company to refine their PoS solutions in line with retailer requirements and market dynamics.
Approach
We conducted a comprehensive analysis by interviewing experts across nine different retailer groups, focusing on their preferences and challenges with PoS displays. Our approach included gathering detailed insights into the types of displays preferred, the operational ease of use, and the procurement processes involved.
We also explored the decision-making roles within these organisations and identified key drivers behind display choices. This method allowed us to develop a nuanced understanding of retailer needs, preferences, and the factors influencing their PoS display strategies.
Outcome
Our findings enabled our client to tailor their PoS solutions to better meet retailer needs, focusing on different materials and ease of use.
The recommended PoS offering would help the client increase retailer satisfaction and operational efficiency, and be well positioned for emerging needs in the market.
