They had developed a novel solution providing high-resolution, large-scale time series data on sources and hotspots of ocean plastic debris. They sought to map out the market for ocean plastic detection and cleanup activities, aiming to identify short-term win opportunities for their technology.

Approach
We conducted interviews with prospective users globally and carried out extensive desktop research, analysing over 80 online resources, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market potential for the proposition.
We focused on identifying end-market opportunities and developing insights into the types of organisations involved, their current operational technologies, and their perceptions of new solutions.
This allowed us to capture detailed information on the market dynamics and stakeholder expectations.
